PBOC Adjusts USD/CNY Reference Rate

New Reference Rate Set by PBOC

On Monday, December 16, 2024, the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) set the USD/CNY central rate for the upcoming trading session. The reference rate was set at 7.1882.

Comparison with Previous Fix and Reuters Estimates

This new rate can be compared to Friday’s fix, which was 7.1876. Also, it differs from the Reuters estimates of 7.2769.
